Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May was bustling with visitors and Gravesend Borough Market had amazing stalls on both days. Saturdays Food Fayre was bright and cheerful with an uplifting and buzzing atmosphere and welcomed newcomers including NKD Catering’s homemade Mediterranean flatbreads stuffed with delicious fillings, Lillian’s Kitchen the Markets Neighbours from Queen Street, No Frills Joe’s tasty Craft beers, Court Lodge Kitchen’s delightful cakes and savoury bakes and First Ascot Luxury Jams, Jellies, preserves and chutneys. The stars of the day was Andy Singh and Abby Worthy who made the front page of the KM Gravesend Messenger on the 25 May, dressed in their Asian finery and serving freshly made onion bhajis and samosas to hundreds of happy customers.
