Gravesend Borough Market

Established 1268

Gravesend Borough Market opened to the public on Saturday the 3 December.

Since February the historic market has been undergoing major refurbishment by Gravesham Borough Council with the assistance of £1.8 Million Coastal Communities Funding from the Government. The Street Food section of the Market, the new Market Cafe and public tolets will soon be open, which will complete the stunning transformation.

The design team has been led by Kasan Goh and Camilla Prizeman from Clay Architecture and comprises the Allen Dadswell Partnership, PCS Consulting Services and the Alan Baxter Partnership. The extensive works have been undertaken by refurbishment specialists, Faithdean PLC. The Street Food end of the Market will open early 2017.
